Layer2 Financial is now Rail

Today marks a pivotal moment in our journey. After years of dedication to building reliable, compliant infrastructure for payments, we’re taking the next step forward with a new identity that reflects both our product focus and our aspirations.  When we started Layer2, our mission was simple but ambitious: to create the financial products/ infrastructure that would transform financial services infrastructure with the innovation of digital asset networks.. Layer2 laid the groundwork, and along the way, in late 2023, we pivoted to building infrastructure for customers to  move money globally, instantly, safely and more efficiently using both Fiat and Stablecoins. Yet, as a name, Layer2 Financial does not fully reflect our focus on instant international payments.

We are very proud to announce that Layer2 Financial is now Rail.

“Rail” was chosen because it captures the essence of what we’re building: a stable, trusted pathway that makes global financial connection possible. It’s a name that represents strength, trust, and above all, progress. This transition is deeply meaningful to us, because it embodies our dedication to creating an accessible, unified financial ecosystem.

Rail signifies not just the movement of money but the infrastructure we’ve built to make that movement possible. It’s a name that speaks to the dependability we offer our clients—whether they’re large businesses making complex transactions or individuals seeking a secure way to move value across borders. Rail is the foundation that lets them do this with confidence.

Rail is a name that reminds us of the mission we set out on from the beginning, and it’s a commitment to the limitless future we see ahead. Just  as railways connected countries , we envision Rail becoming the connective tissue of a global financial landscape, one that’s transparent, seamless, and accessible.
